Description
This saree is a quintessential example of the “Contrast Border” style. The most distinctive feature of a Kanchipuram like this is the Korvai technique, where the border and the body are woven separately and then joined together with a zig-zag pattern, making the join incredibly strong.
The heavy silk gives it a structured drape, making it perfect for grand occasions like weddings or traditional festivals. The combination of purple and blue is a timeless “temple color” pairing that is both regal and festive.
